Our atelier sits in a converted 200-year-old farmhouse near Mdina. Limestone walls, north-facing light, an olive grove out the back that's older than any of us. It's not a factory. It's the kind of place where the people who make your portrait actually care that it lands well.

What we deliver today is a finished fine-art portrait of your pet, printed on museum-grade archival giclée paper and shipped framed-ready in a premium box. Native square, no crop, no upscaling, with a numbered certificate in your pet's name.

You approve your portrait on screen before we print a thing. Then it ships on tracked An Post, with free tracked shipping over €75. Prefer to print it yourself? A €29 digital portrait is available for anyone who would rather print locally.

The bit where craft meets engineering.

We use a current-generation atelier process, the same calibre of tooling used by professional illustration studios, to compose six fine-art interpretations of your pet. Each one is engineered to hold the specific features that make your pet look like your pet, then inspected for likeness against your original photograph before it reaches you.

If the process can't compose a portrait that recognisably looks like your pet, we rework it before showing you anything. You approve your favourite on screen, and if the finished print still isn't them, we reprint it free.

The process does the composing. We do the quality check, the printing, and the careful packing. The olive grove just gives us somewhere quiet to answer your emails.

Every portrait, certified.

A portrait without a record is just a picture. Every Olea & Hound print we issue is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity - bearing your pet’s name, the style, the date of composition, the certificate number and the atelier’s seal. It ships alongside your print.

Slip it behind the frame, or keep it on the shelf. It says, in plain ink: this composition was made for this pet, on this day, by this atelier - and there is only one of it.

The portrait itself is printed on museum-grade archival giclée paper with pigment inks, the gallery standard, rated to hold its colour for generations. The certificate is the document that says so.
